Research

Mission

We are interested in enabling organic synthesis and reaction development through catalyst design and mechanistic insight.

We aim to identify site- and enantioselective catalysts for the synthesis of drug-like structural motifs and the derivatization of complex molecules. 

​

We use the tools of physical organic chemistry coupled with organic and organometallic chemistry to elucidate reaction mechanisms, origins of selectivity, and controlling noncovalent interactions.

Projects

1) We are investigating methods for selective C-H functionalization of alcohol-containing molecules.

​

2) We are developing catalysts for the selective dearomatizations of heterocycles.
